Melasma is a pigmentation disorder characterized by the appearance of spots on the skin. It usually appears on the cheeks, forehead and fluff, but it can also appear in other areas such as the neck and arms.

We are a family owned and operated business.

Some factors can trigger the appearance of melasmas, such as exposure to the sun and heat, especially without protection. That's because ultraviolet light stimulates melanocytes, cells that produce melanin, a pigment that gives color to the skin.

In addition, sun exposure is responsible for the recurrence of melasmas. Among other causes of these spots on the skin are hormonal changes caused by pregnancy, use of birth control pills, among other conditions.
